Actuarial discipline meets modern data science.
Musemakweli Risk Advisory was founded to bring rigorous, transparent credit risk quantification to commercial real estate lending — grounded in actuarial science and built with the tools of modern data science.
Our Founder & CEO
Founder & CEO, Musemakweli Risk Advisory — Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) and MSc Data Scientist, with extensive experience in the banking industry, including commercial real estate credit portfolios.
Our founder's career spans actuarial risk quantification and applied data science within banking, with direct experience underwriting, modeling and managing CRE credit risk. Musemakweli Risk Advisory was built on the conviction that the best credit risk tools combine two things that are too often kept apart: the statistical discipline of actuarial science, and the judgment of experienced underwriters — formally, not informally, combined.

Our approach
Every model is built on defensible statistical foundations — Bayesian inference, survival analysis, and established actuarial methods — not black-box heuristics.
We treat expert underwriting judgment as data: formally elicited, weighted, and combined with empirical evidence rather than overridden by it or ignored in favor of it.
Our tools are designed for the people who use them daily — underwriters, portfolio managers, credit committees — not just for a one-time report.
Who we work with
CRE lenders and credit unions, developers and construction/builder firms, property managers, and credit funds seeking a rigorous, transparent view of default risk, loss severity, and exposure across their portfolios.
